Missing 32-Year-Old Long Island Man Found

A 32-year-old man who went missing on Long Island has been found.

New Cassel resident Mohammed Saleem, who was last seen visiting his parents on Elderberry Lane at approximately 6 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8, was located later in the day Thursday, Nassau County Police said.

The Nassau County Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing vulnerable missing adult.

New Cassel resident Mohammed Saleem, 32, who is mute and deaf, was last seen visiting his parents on Elderberry Lane at approximately 6 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8.

Saleem was last seen by his parents leaving the residence to head to an undetermined location.

Police describe Saleem as being 5-foot-2 weighing approximately 120 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and a black mustache. He was last seen wearing a light grey T-shirt with a skateboard design on it and black pants.

According to the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, Salem left on foot and could be attempting to travel to Queens by train.
